Baptism

Baptisms are always a joy at St. Thomas.'  We celebrate baptisms within our main service on Sunday mornings.

St. Thomas' requires at least 60 days' notice for all baptisms.  Holy Baptism is traditionally offered 5 times during the year: the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord (January), Easter, Pentecost (50 days after Easter), All Saints Sunday (the first Sunday in November) and the bishop's visitation (date varies).

Baptisms may also be scheduled at other times, at the discretion of the priest.

For the baptism of a baby or child, preparation consists of four classes for the parents during our 10 a.m. worship.  The classes are required for each child, even if the parents have had previous children baptized.  Adult baptism classes are arranged with the priest.
