Covenant to Care for Children

St. Thomas' has "adopted" a child protective social worker through Covenant to Care for Children.  The social worker, Robert Murphy, tells us about the needs of children and youth on his caseload, and our parish responds as best it can.  For example, St. Thomas' has provided placement packs -- tote bags containing such items as sleep T-shirts, socks, underwear, stuffed animals, flashlights, toothbrushes, toothpaste and shampoo -- for children being removed from their homes.  We have also provided baby food and furniture for at-risk families.
Our parish liaison for this program is Toby Salottolo.  Contact her if you would like to join our Covenant to Care committee or have furniture to donate.
